He was instrumental in starting the department of Neurosurgery at Government Medical college and New Civil Hospital, Surat in 2014. He was Associate Professor and Head of department, Department of Neurosurgery, Government Medical college and New Civil Hospital, Surat from 2016 to 2018. Now with more than 10 years experience of Neurosurgery he is into private practice in Surat since 2018. He has attachments in all the major hospitals of South Gujarat.

His knowledge and well-researched process with the most effective solutions results in high success rates helping patients feel healthier and recover faster.

Dr Mehul Modi is a consultant brain and spine surgeon. He is a qualified Mch Neurosurgeon (Master of Chirurgiae) from Surat, Gujarat , India.

Dr Mehul Modi has been trained at National Instiute of Mental Health and Neurosciences(NIMHANS), Bangalore, India. Nimhans is one of the best institute for neurosciences in India and has been deemed Institute of National Importance by Government of India. He has enhanced his skills for skull base endoscopic sugeries from one of the pioneers of this field Dr Paolo Cappabianca, Professor and chairman of Neurosurgery at University Hospitals, Naples, Italy.

He is an expert in Brain and spine surgeries. He is one of the few neurosurgeons from India and only neurosurgeon from South Gujarat to have a fellowship in endoscopic skull base surgeries.
